Hello. Does a message or backstory make a game better? I'm curious because I think one of the main reasons I enjoy your games is that they often have some deeper meaning. It's cool to see how you pair game design with personal commentary on a chosen topic (creativity, religion, etc). How do you go about matching subject matter with game genres?

i have no idea, a rich theme that embodies what im doing ingame is always a big plus for me. to me theme holds more weight than any story in a video game and usually complements the game play more. 

a message or meaning is a bonus, i like putting that kinda stuff in my work because i feel like i do it in a way that unfolds like the game itself.. the meaning of the game is a little puzzle to solve if you feel like doing so.
