Hey!! I was pretty sad when I read that you've kinda been the outcast in the indie community but a couple of question ago you said that it's weird people look up to you. Do you think it's better that you have your own community and small fan/friend base?

ah its no sadder than highschool is :) its more of a joke than anything else. you have the hipster crowd, the ultra nerd computer geeks, the social justice warriors, the dorks (im probably one of these), the drama/attention kids.. and so on.

i think back in the early 2000s the scene was just so small you had these cliques still but they were more like individuals than groups.. so they couldnt band together and point the finger at the other groups as easily.. as something grows this is just bound to happen anyway.. but maybe it keeps things more interesting? who knows.

i feel like a complainer when i talk about it, because really its more of a personal thing than anything else, i dont like where ive been placed and i didnt choose to be placed here its just where i was pushed. people view me differently due to my successes and the movie, they have their minds made up of who i am from what they have read/seen and placed me right where they feel i believe without ever having met me… and that sucks, but its what i have to work with.

im not sure how good it is that i have my own fan base, there are big pros and cons.. the cons being that i tend to want to try very different things and not do what is expected… i like to challenge my “fan base” and that also means turning a lot of people off to what im doing.

but friends are a different story.. i appreciate them greatly and extend the word freind to many of the fans out there who have reached out to me over the years. ive had the pleasure to work with a lot of “fans” turned friends and its quite a motivator to continue doing what im doing.

man im talking to much on here today, im gong to go get lunch..
