I've noticed that, at least of the games I've played, your work tends to be less story based and more about the gameplay itself. Isaac has a story, but is very open to interpretation (as you have demonstrated just with the questions people have asked about Isaac.) Meatboy has a story, but there's little beyond the basic relationship of the three characters. Aether is more of a concept or an idea than a story. Do you ever see yourself writing a game that is far more about the story than the game?

no, i highly doubt i ever will.. i have no real interest in traditional story telling and the medium can easily be outdone by a book or movie so i dont see much point in trying.

i like using what new means of storytelling game design gives us and pushing that aspect over traditional storytelling via text and movies…

that said, mewgenics will features an amazing amount of text… but again no “story”, just theme and flavor that will make the world feel alive and cohesive and hopefully allow peoples imaginations to flow and maybe even get a few thinking.
